Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA hosts “Halloween Adopt-a-thon”

On Saturday, October 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA will be hosting a Halloween Adopt-a-thon. All cat and dog adoptions include spaying or neutering, vaccinations for rabies and distemper, de-worming, heartworm testing, and cats are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and dogs for Lyme disease.

Dog adoptions are $105 and cats and kittens are FREE to approved homes. In addition, all adoptions include a collar, a leash for dogs, a 24PetWatch microchip (free of charge), and 30 days free pet insurance.

Celebrity radio host Bill Williams from The Cat 98.5 FM and Oldies 93.5 FM will be on hand from 11:30 to 1:30 for give-a-ways and the prize wheel. There will be free hotdogs and face painting for the kids, a bake sale, and a pumpkin sale to support the Shelter’s Food Bank for the public. Staff will in costumes, ready to help you choose your new pet.
