On Saturday, October 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA, Oldies 93.5 FM, the Cat 98.5 FM, and WRWD will be hosting a free pet adoption day. CGHS/SPCA is filled with cats, kittens, and dogs that are in need of good, permanent homes. All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested and have a 24PetWatch microchip. All adult pet adoptions include 30 days of pet insurance…and all this is free to approved homes.

Radio personality Bill Williams will be on hand for giveaways with the prize wheel (the last prize wheel appearance until spring). There will be free hotdogs, and the shelter’s gift shop will be open. Staff will be in costume, ready to help you choose your new pet. There will be treats for humans and pets in costumes. To find out how you can take your new pet home on the same day, please call (518) 828-6044, or have your application pre-approved by visiting our website at cghs.org. CGHS/SPCA is located at 111 Humane Society Road in Claverack, NY.  Photo courtesy of www.chantalbrown.com.
