Since 2008, the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA has maintained a Pet Food Bank for the public. The food is free for people experiencing financial hardships. On average, CGHS/SPCA will supply 30,000 lbs. of free food to families in need each year.
To better meet the needs of the public, CGHS/SPCA has teamed up with local businesses, churches, and human food banks to make pet food more accessible. Below are our satellite Pet Food Bank locations:
Chatham Silent Pantry, 77 Main Street, Chatham, NY
Open Monday, Tuesday, Friday, 10 a.m. to noon, and Thursday, 5 to 6 p.m.
Ghent Food Bank, 2306 Rt. 66, Ghent, NY
