Rufus, the Doberman mix puppy rescued by Investigator Andrea Walker on May 29th, went home to his new family on Monday, June 21st. Dr. Kimberly Peregrim and Catherine Mayott picked up their ecstatic puppy, who is going to spend the rest of his life being spoiled rotten.

Rufus was saved from certain death on May 29th by Investigator Andrea Walker after she received a tip that a puppy was being severely neglected in Hudson, NY. Investigator Walker found Rufus dying in a small crate and had it not been for her swift action and the help of the Hudson Police Department, he most certainly would have starved to death there.

After a few weeks of special treatment from Animal Care Supervisor Carol Ball and the rest of the Animal Care team at CGHS, Rufus made a complete recovery and is now ready to start his new life with his family.
