Dog and Cat Food Drive to Benefit the Food Bank at the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA and Shelter Day at Dairy Queen
Oldies 93.5 FM, The Cat 98.5 FM, WRWD, and The Columbia Paper will be hosting a pet food drive on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Shoprite in Greenport to benefit the Food Bank at the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA. Radio personality Bill Williams from The Cat and Oldies will be on hand to collect donations.
The Food Bank has been a crucial free service for hundreds of cat and dog owners in the community who are experiencing financial hardships. The Food Bank is open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Dairy Queen of Ghent will also be hosting a Shelter Day on Saturday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dairy Queen will donate a portion of all sales from that day to the shelter, and the CGHS/SPCA traveling gift shop, with all proceeds benefiting the CGHS/SPCA, will be on location.
