The Second Annual P.A.W. event (Party for Animal Welfare) was a huge success. The Paw Party again collected food, blankets, and toys for the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA. This year, the event amassed nearly seven hundred pounds of food to donate to our free Food Bank. In addition to the food, bags of toys and bundles of blankets were collected for the animals waiting adoption at the shelter.
Co-organizers Deborah Tuttle and Mike Daley of East Chatham hosted this year’s event in memory of their beloved dog, McGraw. “McGraw is dearly missed and promoted unconditional love everywhere he went. Now, through our event, he can spread his love to other animals in need,” said Deb Tuttle.
“We deeply appreciate Deborah and Mike’s commitment to less-fortunate animals by organizing this party, and we offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated,” said Ron Perez, CGHS/SPCA President.
CGHS/SPCA’s Food Bank is open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
