We would also like to thank all the businesses and individuals who donated items for auctions. Much due to the effort of Seth Fallon of Copake Auction, our volunteer auctioneer, all of these items were sold and the auctions made the day extra successful for our Shelter and extra exciting for participants. Thank you!

Also, without our dedicated Picnic Committee, we would not be able to host such a magnificent event every year. Committee members include Darlene Bilinski, Jennifer Donoghue, Pegge’ Duleba, Lorraine Emerick, Robin Kromer, Bonnie Loyche, Karen Malina, Charlene Marchand, Jennifer Newton, Katy Nichols, Ron Perez Jr., Ernie Quinto, Kathy Rector, Tom Rector, Gayle Skluzacek, Marcia Sullivan, and Linda Vault-Smith. Thank you!

Special thanks to the local band King of the Forest who kept the afternoon rocking; Bill Robinson and his magnificent wildlife demonstration; Chatham Brewery, Aviator Wines and Liquors, Claverack Package Store, Wildhorse Wine & Liquor, Kinderhook Wines and Spirits, East Chatham Wines and Spirits, Chatham Wine and Liquor, Superior Wines, and Green Valley Liquors for donating libation; Red Barn for their delicious potato chips; and the staff of Waldorf Farm and Chathams Small Animal Hospital for all their hard work to make the picnic such a success every year.

CGHS/SPCA would also like to thank Bill Williams, WHUC 1230 AM, 98.5 FM The Cat, and Oldies 93.5 FM for their steadfast efforts in promoting this year’s Summer Paw Picnic through personal appearances and donated air time.

On behalf of all those mentioned above, we would like to thank all who attended the picnic this and every year. Over the past nine years our Summer Paw Picnics have raised a total of nearly $500,000, and we can’t thank all of you enough. We must also thank our anonymous supporter who donated $10,000 at the Picnic to the building fund with the stipulation that it must be matched . . . and thankfully it was, placing $20,000 into the CGHS/SPCA New Building Fund. To all who donated—thank you very much!

Last but certainly not least, I’d like to thank Dr. Jerry and Darlene Bilinski, who have hosted this event for five years. Their continued support of CGHS/SPCA and its efforts and on behalf of all animals in need is nothing less than extraordinary. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
