The New York State Police Troop F in Catskill hosted a food drive at their barracks to support the Food Bank for the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA (CGHS/SPCA). CGHS/SPCA offers a free pet Food Bank to help pet owners that are experiencing financial woes.

On average, CGHS/SPCA gives away more than forty thousand pounds of food each year. “By proving free pet food, we ensure that no animal will go hungry and a family that may be experiencing monetary hardships won’t need to surrender a family pet to make ends meet. We’re extremely grateful to the New York State Police for their support,” said CGHS/SPCA President/CEO Ron Perez.

The shelter’s Food Bank is open seven days a week, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  All families are welcome to receive pet food, regardless of their place of residency. For more information, please call (518) 828-60444 or email [email protected].

If you wish to donate to the Food Bank, donations are accepted seven days a week. Donors may also order food from Chewy or Amazon and have it delivered to CGHS/SPCA.
